I’m no wedding expert, just a chick who planned an NYC wedding on a $2000 budget back in 2006. Though I wasn’t a blogging bride I figured I’d be a blogging “been there done that” bride so I could share my experiences, opinions, things I would do differently, tips I’ve picked up from around the internet and great wedding resources.

I’m a DIY freak, not just when it comes to wedding projects, but in my other passion, real estate/home improvement, and all aspects of life. There’s a certain satisfaction in doing things yourself, not to mention the money saving possibilities. When you can’t DIY it, the key is to get it done for less. Weddings shouldn’t be about breaking the bank. Don’t start your new life together with thousands of dollars in debt.
